The Pretender is a show on NBC about a genius named Jarod (played by the very hot Micheal T. Weise), who escaped from an evil organization known as the Centre after being held captive there and forced to perform SIMs for 30 something years. Now, he is on the run from Centre operatives Miss Parker (Andrea Parker), Jarod's childhood friend (and more)who has many skeletons lurking about her closet, Sydney (Patrick Bachau), the psychatrist who raised Jarod, Broots (Jon Gries), the computer tech who is smarter (and braver) than he first appears, and Mr. Lyle, Miss Parker's long lost brother and a psycopath to boot. They are joined by a cast of twisted (and extremly interesting) characters whose pasts are murky and seem to be things to protect at all costs.
